I have been thinking about the QS rule.
If you have a weapon who makes more dmg then 6.
Does the QS rule auto succed then?
Semes strange that you wont be able to Hurt it with stronger weapons then 6 w maximum.

Yes, it auto succeeds, if the weapon does 7+ damage. RAW, you still have to roll the dice.

Agreed.
You do not have to make a roll that cannot have an effect on the game, regardless of what RAW says. Even if you do roll though, it still auto succeeds. That terminology still applies.
The point is though, as stated, that you cannot succeed the roll.

They really are... You automatically succeed because there is no possibility of failure. It is a pass/fail thing. Normally you can succeed or not. If the damage is 7 or more you can only succeed.

They might practically be equivalent but they are not actually equivalent.
Anyway, silly semantics aside, it remains true that outside of some weird shenanigans if you do 7 damage to a model with Quantam Shielding, the damage won't go though.

Seems like a waste of time to me. Its like rolling variable damage for single wound models without FNP. It doesn't matter what you roll, those model is still leaving the table.

Its like rolling variable damage for single wound models without FNP. It doesn't matter what you roll, those model is still leaving the table.
Everyone else will agree with you. If it can't effect the game then rolling the dice is exactly the same as not rolling it, so you don't have to.
I do have agree with BCB with the bit in his last post that we should just put semantics aside and move on though, as all we'll achieve is getting the thread locked.
