Subject: Destiny 2 PC Is Migrating to a New Platform: Steam
So, got an email earlier today and here's the message:
You are receiving this email as we've identified your account as an owner of Destiny 2 on Battle.net. Destiny 2 developer and publisher, Bungie, has announced that the Destiny 2 service will be transferring to a new PC platform on October 1, 2019.
Blizzard and Bungie are committed to making this transition as simple and seamless as possible for the Destiny 2 PC community.
You will be able to migrate your Guardians, gear, game progress, product licenses and Silver currency balance from Battle.net at no cost. Please note you will lose access to Destiny 2 if you choose not to migrate to the new platform. The last date that Destiny 2 will be accessible via Battle.net is September 30, 2019.

Not a great email, makes one worry that the this would be the latest in the gakshow that is the Epic™ Saga.

To be fair, Bungie literally bailed out as soon as their contract allowed.
Also to be fair, feth Acti-Blizz with a rusty pipe. If even half the rumors about their interference in the Destiny Franchise are true, they're basically responsible for most of the series' bad design decisions that everyone regularly complains about.

I'd say toneless and indifferent.
Given that they were giving away copies of the game last year (its how I got my never installed copy) I doubt very much they care.
Efficiency is the highest virtue.

Jokes aside Actibliz is just riding the last goodwill from Blizzard out.
And Destiny, well, it's a sad story but frankly a deal with Actibliz is just as bad as EA.
