If I move my very melee based Army with up to an inch+ of something big. Then give up my charge can I consolidate into my target thus preventing to many losses? I have seen tactic videos on YouTube for dealing with tanks and others but I want to solidify my understanding. I also don't want to be fudging or cheating the rules.

I want to get my guys into melee but I dont want to always suffer overwatch. Help with that would be great. Maybe point me in the right direction of which book has rules or a YouTube video.

Yes, but it doesnt hurt to watch all of them. Pinning units in combat is also important to know.

Yea I used pinning and hostages to great effect last Wednesday.
