Just thought we'd leave this quick, 1 minute snapshot video here on our upcoming product, due for launch in December, and get your initial thoughts (There's plenty more to come though!)
Ultra Thin, High Opacity, Ultimate Control...welcome to the next evolution in miniature paint
If you want to see the full video, head over here...it's only available for a short time though!
Looks interesting - but a December launch means I can't consider ordering it for at least 5 months, because I'd rather not get frozen paint in the post.

John,
It'll still be around long after the launch, and probably with more colours too!

Thank you!
All our colours (Including difficult colours like Red and Blue) cover in the same manner
I'm very impressed with the reviews I'm reading. Next time I need paint I will definitely be coming your way.
One thing I was wondering though. Does your paint range include matching progressions of colours for shading / highlighting, and if so do you have a list or chart anywhere? It's a little hard to tell from some of the colour swatches on your website whether colours match or not. I'm thinking along the lines of, for example, how in the GW paint range you have Incubi Darkness -> Kabalite Green -> Sybarite Green -> Hellion Green...

Ahhh I see what you mean, there is the facility to do that but we haven't gotten around to it.
You can however filter by colours so you can select all greens, blues, reds etc and it will show only those colours, however with the conversion chart, if the colour is on there from GW, you can be taken straight to our corresponding colour just by clicking on it
Eventually the ALPHA line will replace the current paint range while retaining all the colours we do
Automatically Appended Next Post: We are am however a little confused by some of the answers being "Not overly impressed"
For a product that's as thin as a pre thinned paint straight from the bottle, has superior coverage and at a price lower than the major players (Which seems to be in our eyes the holy grail of any painter) it'd be interesting to know why some people feel that the ALPHA line isn't impressive in their eyes.

Good to hear it's something you might have in the pipeline. Would definitely be handy.
Like I said... Next time I'm buying paints it'll be some of yours, I reckon.

That would seem to limit your audience somewhat. Paint thinned to that level doesn't actually suit every painting style. It's not at all suitable for drybrushing, for example.

I didn't 'vote', but I would guess that the 'Not overly impressed' responses are coming from the video being too short to really say very much about the range. The coverage of the yellow straight over white is good, but that doesn't really do much to show what the range can do. You need some more comprehensive videos to show off what the paint can really do.
Also, as per my comment above, not everyone wants 'pre-thinned' paints. They're useful for certain applications, but less so for others. You'll also need to address potential durability concerns, given the apparent fragility of GW's current offering.
And your price being lower only actually works for people who can access your local postage. I put together an order through your webstore last week as I had been interested in checking out your range, but wound up leaving it as the postage cost meant that it would have wound up more than half again as expensive as I pay for other ranges currently. Although now that you're saying the current range is going away, that's probably for the best... Buying into a new range right before it is discontinued would have been more than a little frustrating.

Well there's two reasons for that
one, we don't have a US Distributor, two, they're not even released yet
They're penciled in for a december release
I mean any of your paints. They sound cool but I’d love to be able to order from Amazon like I do with Vallejos.
Ahhh I see what you mean now, we are still actively looking for a US Distributor be it ebay, amazon, brick and morter etc so we should be there in the near future

Well, when we say "Replace" it won't be straight away, it would be a slow progression over a number of years, however you are correct in that these paints are not suitable for drybrushing, it IS possible however with some practice but this would really be the only thing the ALPHA range would not be able to do well, other than that you can paint straight onto bare plastic with it (Primer is still best however) so if there are places where you have missed with the primer spray, it doesn't matter so much as you'll still get a solid coverage, with a small amount of persuasion (Since the paint will want to bead up slightly), this is also the same for Pewter models too so if you don't have the ability to use a primer spray or have access to an airbrush etc, you can still continue to paint.
As for durability concerns, if that's in relation to paint coming off while handling we did do a test with packing tape where we put it on the model and then took it off...the paint stayed where it was on the model
Or you could add a drop of our Water+ (Or any other thinner) to create a slightly transparent version of the paint suitable for layering, go further and you get a glaze/contrast style pant, go further and you can turn them into a wash, usually after around 4-5 drops of thinner so the paint is incredibly versatile given how thin it is
And yeah, the video was a short snippet from the full stream where the link is available where he also tries the Black neat, thinned down green to a layer paint, then a contrast stle paint and then turning the Dark Yellow into a wash for the backpack. There are more videos to come with more testers about to receive their sample packs
Ultimately the range was designed to be able to paint quicker yet still get awesome looking results, basically what GW's Contrast should have been, but ultimately didn't end up delivering.
This is a good example of a Skaven Bloodbowl Team that I personally painted up in just one sitting in around half a day using the ALPHA paints so around 6-7 hours, that included the priming, painting, detailing, washing and basing including the counters and footballs

Yeah, but what if I want it right away?
Christmas vacation is when I get a lot of painting done. I know they'll be available still when the weather turns nicer.

Unfortunately we're still finalising all the production so while I understand you would like to get hold of it sooner (And you're not the only one, trust us! ) we've already prepped everything for the December launch.
