Trying to find if it says in the new codex or in the ultramarines supplement that taking detachments of multiple successors/founding chapter detachments will prevent army wide rules from working, such as doctrines.

Example:
Novamarines (ultramarines successors) in first detachment
Ultramarines (as founding chapter) in second detachment
Intent here is to unlock named characters. Their abilities that only target ultramarines won't work on the successors though, right?
I am pretty sure I don't lose the enhanced tactical doctrine that ultramarines get since both are considered ultramarines for that role.

I probably missed an obvious paragraph but I've read both books 3 times and I only see the bit stating if all units are astartes then doctrines are available.

Edit : just found it in the supplement, page 72 says every unit is ultramarines or every unit is from the same successor chapter to get the scions of bobby G rule.

Edit: redundant now, OP has found their own answer.

Thanks for the reply, I was editing the original post and didn't see it until I was done.

Page 72 of supplement states that scions of Guilliman is only if the entire army is ultramarines or the entire army is the same successor chapter.
