Tyranids create a "Shadow in the Warp" that disrupts psychic phenomenon. Does this also affect daemons? We have seen in the novels that Daemons require rituals in order to manifest into the world, but "Shadow in the Warp" seems like a way to disrupt and kill that mode of manifestation.

I've read a blurb about Tyranids fighting Daemons like they are competing predators, but I haven't really seen any thing about how Chaos and Tyranids interact/fight each other.

Thoughts?

I'd read up on what happens in the fall of shadowbrink. Basically demons can exist in the shadow of the warp but they aren't as strong as they are out of it and they run out of energy faster. It's like having a tank running out of air underwater.

Yes it does, though when the Tyranids launch a full-scale invasion of the Eye of Terror, they'll have to deal with the full force of Chaos' power, not the individual battles here and there.

avoiding the lorax on Crion

Yes there weaker as it blanket jams warp based powers, abilities and beings in general.

Bids avoid Deamons I believe as there Biomass is tainted or not usable materals I think.

Deamons avoid the fight at times because they have no souls like other races, they are unsatisfying to fight, and only face down when required.

Also the shadow of warp weakens them. From above.

"The effects of the shadow are varied[2]:

The average citizen experences uneasiness and terrible nightmares.
The psyker or anybody with warp sensibility suffers severe headaches, uncontrollable screaming, bleeding eyes and unconsciousness.
It blocks most astropathic signals.
Complicates warp travel.
Disrupts psychic phenomena"

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

Demons tend to evaporate when killed. So its not that the biomass is tainted its that there's nothing left after the battle for the Tyranids to harvest. Basically they'll fight Chaos off from a food source, but a fully infected and warped world would likely be ignored as the reward would be far reduced compared to the investment to gain - unless the fleet had other reasons of course. Tyranids clearly operate beyond a simplistic feeding requirement.
