Hey there, first time posting.

I recently got a Daemon Prince for my new Chaos Space Marine army and I decided I want to try a conversion on the wings so it looks like they're growing out of the backpack vents, like a combination of full Daemon and Space Marine, however I'd still like some advice for how to proceed with this conversion, does anyone have some suggestions on what I can do? Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope to read feedback soon.

Need some basics before I can help. Have you chosen some predone wings so we have some size comparisons? There's quite a few out there. I guess to start with I need some pics of the wings and the model you are trying to change (can you find one to link here that shows the backpack vents?)
I always suggest you attach large things like wings with pins. I use my 1/16" drill and large paper clips.

A quick search found these for sale: (these are all from one seller. I am not advocating using them, although I have had great luck with them)

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.

It's just the basic Daemon Prince that you can find on the shelf in any GW shop, with the wings included

It looks like you could trim away the "arm" of the wing up to the elbow, while leaving on the webbing (ideally on both sides, but the small bit opposite the fingers will likely be a lost cause), and then slot that onto the backpack vents as a new "upper arm". There'll definitely be some greenstuff work involved, but I don't see why it couldn't work. While I haven't seen one done in person, the sizes don't look too far off from the pictures on GW's site.

I'd definitely cut pieces out slowly and do a bunch of test fits to see exactly how much you need to remove. It might look better to leave the last muscle group on the upper arm and slot that into the (freshly hollowed out) vent grills, for example, or it might turn out better to trim the webbing a bit and angle the wings back further along the vents.
