Ok, I feel this is clear and obvious, but there has been an argument...
Let's say I buy a Librarian in Phobos armor. I then replace it with one of the relic armors. Does my librarian now lose the benefits of Phobos armor?
My thinking is no, because they are not listed under his profile (the phobos libby profile) as Phobos armor. I have a friend who wants to argue that the concealed positions is a benefit of Phobos armor and therefore lost when it is replaced.

Keeping the hobby side alive!
I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage. |

No. "Phobos Armour" doesn't do anything ruleswise. Any "benefits" are part of the base profile and are never lost.

Agreed. Phobos armour isn't a piece of equipment. It's a design (which has no effect in game) and is represented by a keyword (which has some effect in game). Taking a relic armour does not in any way affect the keyword, you are still PHOBOS.

It's a weird one from a practical/realistic perspective, but the rules of the game make it very clear that the Phobos armour itself isn't the source of the rules.
If you want to try and reconcile the two, maybe say that they just have a relic suit of Phobos armour.

Yeah - basically it's just an artificer version of whatever armour the character is already wearing.
