I was thinking while on public transport earlier - at some point, we will probably see an updated Deathwatch book. When we do, it would make sense to add the new Phobos units to it.

If they do so, I don't think we'll see them just added as bolt-ons the the existing Intercessor unit entry - I suspect we'll see a new Phobos Kill Team, probably based around the Infiltrator unit.

If this was a unit, it'd probably have the options to add Reivers (giving Terror Troops, as now), Incursors (not sure what they'd add) and Eliminators (possibly adding Camo Cloaks?).

GW might make it a Vanguard Kill Team, in which case you might have the option to add The Silliest Vanguard Unit Thus Far to the squad, but I kinda prefer keeping it as a Phobos one for now.

Thoughts? Am I off my rocker? Would the Intercessor squad keep the Reiver, if this was the case?

Frankly, I hope they keep them as non-Deathwatch. We're still feeling some of the fallout of "Deathwatch can take X,Y,Z" with the design space.

Primaris are a great example of this.

From what I've gathered it wasn't just the whole "kits drive what the rules are" that happened to them. There's a very real reason why Phobos stuff has some weird limitations on the Lieutenants, to use a notable example, and that reason is sadly Deathwatch.
