Nothing at all, and I wouldnt count on anything new this edition beyond extra rules.

They won't be for a while as a guess, however the trend appears to be that this edition is here to stay, so it's not improbable they might be expanded with a new book in the future. Some other ranges need some love first though imo.

Um, we still have books that haven't even dropped yet. We have Sisters and I will be damned if an established army gets another release over finally just rolling out the Bolter babes.

Just because Death Guard got a new book around the same time as Space Marines doesn't mean DG will get a book around the same time as space marine codex 8.5. truthfully I don't think death guard particularly need a new codex, they're reasonably strong, the one thing they could benifit from is a slight re-working of their "chapter tactic" to address it not being quite as relevant since bolter disipline, (honestly if you just made inexorable advance apply to the entire army that'd suffice) but that could be handled in FAQ/Errata. IMHO of the early stage codices that really need a 8.5 revision, grey knights are top of the list. they need a complete rework.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Not anytime soon. By which I mean basically never. Chaos got its update for the next few years, as crappy as it is. EC and WE will get books at some point in the future (nobody knows when) but DG are done.

Agree, Death Guard are solid.

The codex could use some quality of life adjustments, like making all of the characters have the same stat-line, having all the mortal wound auras trigger at the same time, adding the shadowspear units that fit the DG background (greater possessed, venom crawler) and another decent stratagem or two, but all of that is nice to have. A small errata like "inexorable advance applies to all units" would instantly make predators and defilers a lot better for us.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

i feel like thousand sons are due for an update well before the death guard. ahriman and demon princes are the only units that get played in the codex, and the army basically required that you soup with CSM or Demons. Deathguard can stand its own.

When I would go into the local GW store(before a tornado hit the strip mall a week ago) there was almost always 1+ death guard player playing a game, it was not uncommon to see DG v. DG games as the army has great models and given the books age the rules have held up pretty well.

I feel the biggest changes they could do to DG is to make all these blister characters more relevant so I have a reason to take Tallyman and similar models. Maybe add some more versatility to the Stratagems as they are a bit poor in that area.
