I've been working through my backlog of models and now finally gotten to work through my glorious Brazen Keshig squad and their transport, a land raider crusader.
now my termies went together fine no problem enjoyed building sculpting fur trophies making them all White Scarsy for my successors and now I've got to build their land raider.
the engine panel doesn' fit and I've got no clue why. I've already shaved off the sides by a good 3-4mm and it still wont fit! I've got no clue how its still pushing the other wall off the main body. it wont fit behind the support beams that span back of the tank like it does in all available pictures of the interior. if i place it in-front of said supports it fits fine but as this is the improper place i am not terrible confident gluing it into place here. i would appreciate advice on how those who have had issues with this fix this
not to mention the pegs on the outer piece on the right hand wall are horribly stubbed off and bent so I've had to cut them off. In my dry fit the roof is slightly shorter on one end so there's a good 1mm crack all the way down there.
either I've got a naff tank or I'm having a bad day.
on the bright side I've got custom doors and iconography being 3D printed for my chapter for it which i'm really excited to have on the tank.
thank you for reading.

It might be that the engine panel is seating too far down and is riding over the ridge which the rear exhast panel seats upwards towards.
This could be because the floor panel isn't fully inserted into its locator insets on the inner track panel or it could be because the rear panel hasn't been fitted yet and the lump it would create with the floor panel isn't supporting the engine panel in the correct position.

As posted above me, likely cause but also. The Land Raider model kit is OLD.. OLD OLD OLD... 1999 old, with 5 replacement molds made IIRC going off various sprues I have. I even have a FW kit that came with a First Mold Run set of sprues (no markers to indicate mold replacement considering I bought it in 2014 wow FW eff you!). They all had warpage. The design of the Land Raider can mean warped parts, warped floor piece. Yeah. It's possible that it's naff but even when it isn't it does not assemble in a straight forward fashion. Newer kits go together much better. Check your dimensions and ensure you are not over pushing the various pieces.
Pretty much dry fit it. For the engine the outer wall is inserted first and the bottom panel as well then you push the inner engine piece down.. but bcause of how it is made you can actually push it too far and cause everything to pop out of place. Yeah. It's kind of a gak design kit.

If the roof/ track covers go on last the engine panel just slots in, you can see that in the above picture.
I had an original 99 LR and a 2010 version, both looked to be the same and just as easy to build as each other

I had to clamp the 99 together because all the large flat plastic pieces were warped. Could just be bad luck on my part and the OP's part.

I built my land raiders and omitted the engine piece. I wasn’t going to do any interior painting, and it wouldn’t sit right. I haven’t noticed any problems with not using the piece at all.
That gave me some interesting panels to use in my terrain projects...so....bonus!

Yup, the engine panel gives a bit of structural strength, but is otherwise unnecessary. However, if not fitting it, I'd recommend dry-fitting (i.e. without glue) the main hull top bit (not shown in this step, as it's glued on in a later step) while the glue dries for this step, just to ensure everything stays aligned properly.
I assembled half a dozen LRs, and never had problems with the hull assembly, so I'm suspicious you have some warped/bent/miscast parts in yours.
