little, tiny comments.
The tempest command squad and other two squads have a subtle balancing issue between them. Remember you are capable of issuing two (2) orders -- and the plasma is the most valuable item in your tempestes side of the house, for sniping off enemy armor. You can greatly enhance its survivability (well on a relative scale) by putting the plasma guns behind the extra hit points of the two 5 man squads, and the 4 hot shot volley guns in a command squad that will likely seem a lower priority target to most enemies. This leaves you able to issue orders to ALL your plasma OR ALL your hsvg with the 2 orders from your one prime/rod, which adds technical flexibiilty as well. Horde of t4 little monsters? six hsvg get the order to reroll all wounds. horde of small tanks? 4 plasma guns across two squads get the order.

Your special weapons squad costs 30 poitns WITHOUT weapons, not with them. With wargear its 36. That's ok, I suggest you make a command squad instead, which can for 28 points wield 4 sniper rifles at bs3 instead of 3 at bs4 for 36 points. Its a much more effective sniper and saves you points. Any spare points you have give the gift of dakka -- each of your leman russ can carry a stormbolter for 2 points as insurance against that one last grot making a charge.

You squads of infantry are decent but you can get more plasma shots for 2 points a squad by giving one guy in the ranks a plasma rifle instead of the sgt a plasma pistol -- one extrqa plasma shot -- and then if you find another free point, give sarge a bolter to add two s4 shots as well.

You should get rid of all your vox casters, or consider strongly bringing an officer who can issue orders to regular infantry, at present, you are paying points that can ONLY be used to relay orders for nearby tempestes primes to nearby tempestes, and you have 3 infantry squads you can't pass orders (like movemove move or GBITF) to.
Dropping all of those would probably get you the bolter on each sgt and the stormbolter on each leman russ.

If you wish to,. you might drop the sniper group entirely. In this edition they are pretty weak as sniperfire goes, and the only officers they tend to be able to target tend to have invuln shields and lots of saves against them, making actually killing their target a slow process. 30 points would buy a company commander in a heartbeat, who could then order two of your 3 infantry squads to do stuff like shoot twice as many shots, or reroll ones. or run faster.

Hi thanks for the advice. I've done some tweaking taking that onboard kept the Scion tempestors with Plasma just because we play WYSIWYG and they're built and painted that way.

So a note on warlords and relics.
Your company commander can be a warlord with old grudges, pretty easy. He sits like a spider surroudned by the tauroxes and leman russes and gives them all reroll woudns against a big target like a knight or mortarian. The aquila relic is not a bad choice -- giving you the chance to earn a few command points. The single most important order he probably gives at longer ranges is going to be making the hidden mortar squad reroll all of its misses while potshoting enemy infantry behind LOS blockers.

The commisar you have, with the bolt pistol, is a shoe-in for the relic pistol only commisars can take, it gives him 3 shots at s4, -1ap, 2 damage .. by himself, he can snipe targets in 12 inches more effectively than the whole squad you gave up, a nice pistol and a 2+ ballistic skill behind it.
Now the problem, cause you got a major illegal in this list, looks like you copypasted and then altered in the gaurdsmen from the scions. Gaurd are 10 man groups (40 point) with 1 heavy (potentially) and one special (potentially) weapon added, and whatever sgt carries. You can't do smaller groups of gaurd outside of special weapons groups or command squads.

I confess I misread the gaurd squad sizes when I was looking this over at work, cause a gaurd squad with 1 special and 1 heavy weapon and 1 sgt has 7 remaining lasguns. So I glanced over it without it registering "he means 7 total, not 7 with las".

If you really want to, and have enouhg plasma, you could run them as non-troop chjoices like special weapons squads, but they are incredibly fragile, low morale units that have trouble getting in position in one piece.

52 points buys the following (legal) gaurd squad
10 gaurd (9 regular gaurdsmen, 1 sgt)
1 plasma rifle (7)
1 voxcaster (5)
las rifles (free) and laspistol (sgt) (also free) and chainsword (sgt) also free. I don't remember offhand if oyu give up the lasrifle to get the vox, cause I basically have never run them since the second game I played. (when my heart was broken by repeatedly failing "fire on my position" strategems...

Well, aside from plasmas and battle cannons, you dont have much antitank firepower. Maybe you could add some lascannon?

Yeah I noticed the guard squad issue just as I posted and I've made an amendment, might split the tanks and tank commander into a seperete spearhead for the extra CP so X2 battalions and a Spearhead The person I play against mainly runs Space Wolves so the only armour I worry about it's a Dred and a Land Raider. All the units are magnatized so if it starts to fail I'll make some cuts and switch in lascannon sponsors and possibly the missile pod on one of the Taurox Primes. I've never ran a wyvern before any advice on taking this or a basilisk?

There is no wrong choice. The basilisk m ight work better as its more sparing of cp and doesn't require the "no cover" effect from the emperor's wrath as much. Or the extra ap on a six, to wound.
When I run a gaurd as cadian artillery line support group, it always has one of EACH of these two beasts in it, so I can flip the "doubletap" strategy to match whatever opponent I need. My competetive friends tend to run 2 wyvern though, but they also tend to have a few lord of war type things so clearing hordes is their major worry.
