Just enough points for Iron Father to be added. Gravis cap holds the stone and becomes a chapter master vs fast assault armies (reroll overwatch) or minus to hit modifier armies. Hes T5 3+/4++/6+++ with 7 wounds, basically immune to sniping.

Block marches up the table turn 1-3 then splits off to objectices when things get open. People focus on executioners but the redemptors are just as mean point for point. They also provide good assault protection and let the block move up very aggressively.

Scouts hide and never come out, or screen against armies that need it. Eliminators only come out when they have good targets and can avoid most return fire.

Thunderfire sits on home objectice and double tap booms away all game.

Librarian and Ironfather heal like crazy. Librarian and strat deny key powers. Lieutenant gives 16% more damage and a command point then hides on an objective late game.

10x command points, exactly zero friends. What do yall think?

In case there is confusion, with Iron Father (4x HQ) this divides into a battalion, a spearhead, and a vanguard detachment.

I don’t have the codex yet to finalize anything, but that’s nearly identical to what I was thinking too w/ 2 executioners, 3 redemptors, and 2-3 Eliminators. I was originally hoping for 6 troop options, but looks like points are too short...

You could drop the thunder fire and an eliminator squad for 3x5 more scouts but... I dunno I think that thunderfire is just gonna be worth its weight in gold vs plague bearer lists or quick assault armies or even opposing dreadnoughts... and eliminators fit this lists MO so well it would hurt to lose them...

Yeah, I think the Thunderfire is prob better too.

I'm wondering how would this list fare against Knights? The only really effective anti-Knight shooting you have is the 2 Executioners. The Knights will generally have +1 to go first since you have more drops than most soup lists, so T1 it's likely you're going to lose an Executioner. They're strong and hard to take down, but they require similar firepower to a Castellan to kill, which most armies can dish out.

Also, how would you deal with GSC? They will just tear down your dreads and executioners with rocksaws, and you don't have anything to stop them from getting close really.

I think the scariest lists I've seen from IH so far tend to have 3 executioners, 2x squads of infiltrators to prevent deepstrike, and try to keep it to under 7-8 total drops... very focused, often going to get T1, and basically hard counters GSC by forcing them to not deep strike within 12".

Fair point, I was def considering the Infiltrators for IH. But isn't the triple list like that short on anti horde instead? I'd think you'd want at least the 1 Redemptor to make use of the dread strat if shot at.

I've played against as similar list with my Chaos Knights. I barely killed 1 repulsor T1, and that was dedicating 90% of my firepower against it. With the Ironstone and Father's 5++ aura, they're very resilient to the amount of firepower I have.

Don't get me wrong, I think the Redemptors are pretty sweet, and definitely could rock, but I'm particularly scared of the variant with 2 battalions, 3 executioners, 2 squads of infiltrators, and 4 squads of bolt carbine intercessors. The Intercessors can make up the difference in anti-infantry fire, and the repulsors already put out a frightening amount of it anyway.

And as far as Knights killing Repulsors... I'm gonna start bringing a Castellan in my TAC list more often now. 3x Crusader is dead, long live Castellan / Crusader / Gallant.

Knights seem like a super solid match up because their ranged weapons are neutrers by iron stone. On average an avenger/thermal crusader does <4 damage to either a repulsor or redemptor. Make it around 5.5 damage from the helm knight. All 3 might focus down a repulsor, maybe.

The actual firepower of this list is in the redemptors as much as the executioners. Just the heavy bolter shots will almost kill a knight each turn. It would be an interesting match up for sure.

It’s space marines. Maybe it beats necrons, but space marines are the punching bag of the tabletop. And when they get something good, we house rule nerfs until they aren’t and until the inevitable GW nerf

... what the hell are you talking about? If you're being sarcastic because of the IH ban thread... that's a single unit, and IH has plenty of other nastiness it can put out.

In all honesty marines are just boring. In every sense, good or bad. It isn’t that great of a list

Eliminators are much better than scouts now they can take Las Fusils. They basically can fulfil scout sniper and devastator duties.

I haven't done the maths, but is the macro plasma more useable for IH Redemptors?

Apart from the two repulsors, you're lacking AT firepower. If one of them drops turn one, you're real short on big guns. Maybe drop one for a Contemptor?

Drop useless scouts for 75 more points you can have 15 intercessors with stalkers. Well worth it for almost triple the staying power and much better weapons. Drop a single unit of eliminators and your almost there. You also need a regular tech marine for ironstone which should 100% exist in a no friends list.

I think you need to reconsider your HQ's as well. Overall I like the idea of 3x redemptor 2 executioner.
