Hi guys - here is my kitbashed Tau Hind Mil-24 Sun Shark/Razorshark. I have never really done a kitbash on this scale before using two totally different kits - this was the standard Sun Shark kit and a 1/48 scale Hind. There was an extraordinary amount of plasticard used as well, although you can't really see it in the finished model - maybe that's a good thing. A lot of sawing and cutting and a heap of skills I used for the first time. It's not perfect, but I am abandoning it now as I have been working on this non-stop for what feels like hundreds of hours and I want to move on to something else. Anyway, hope you like it, something a bit different.

That is very cool. Love the shape that you’ve ended up with, and the whole thing settles in with Tau quite nicely.

That last photo really sold it for me. Great work all round. Love the cockpit canopies and colour scheme.

I think its the colour scheme that really sells it. Excellent work.

Thanks everyone - it was fun to build but also very time consuming, I'm happy to put it aside for a while. The idea behind the army is more of a hard-edge sci-fi feel rather than a clean-cut mecha look. For that reason my two points of inspiration were Aliens Colonial Marines and Rogue Trooper. I'm doing the whole army in this scheme so I'll post some pics when I have more to show.
