Use this Stratagem before the battle. Select one ICONOCLAST
HOUSEHOLD model from your army to declare a vow of
carnage. Until the end of the battle, keep a tally of enemy
models destroyed as a result of attacks made by that model,
adding 1 to that model’s Attacks characteristic for every 10
models destroyed.

A Knight has Vow of Carnage, and with its first attack in Step 5 of the Fight phase it kills a model, moving the tally from 9 models destroyed to 10. Does it then get an additional attack in that same Fight phase since its attack characteristic has increased by one?

I would say no, because you divide the attacks during the picking targets step

Except tons of abilities give you extra attacks after you have already divided your attacks.

AKA anything that says on 6+ this model can make an extra attack ...
I would treat it as any ability that generates additional attacks. It's just a more permanent one.

I would say yes.

As an aside, as "infinite" rolls is actually impossible even if the FAQ "allows" it, then it will always be a non-zero chance to pass them all. Eventually the two players will die. If they pass the game on to their decendents, they too will eventually die. And, at the end of it all, the universe will experience heat death and it, too, will die. In the instance of "infinite" hits, we're talking more of functional infinity, rather than literal.

RAW you can't pass the game onto descendants, permissive ruleset. Unless we get an FAQ from GW.

But this one doesnt give you additional attacks on 6+. The increased attack characteristic will come into effect on the next turn.

There is no timing in the rule, so I would say the extra Attack come into effect the next time the unit is chosen to fight. So if it gets to fight a second time that Fight Phase it gets the extra attack. It doesn't get it that time it fights because by the time the unit dies you already know how many attacks the unit gets per step 3 of the Fight Sequence.

Ya, I see what yo mean.
I still wana say yes to my opponent on this one, but your right the RAW suggests otherwise.
