If you take an allied hero in your list, can they lead your faction's troops or can they only lead warbands where they are originally from?

For example, I want to historical ally in the Betrayer in a Far Harad list; can he then lead Mahud warriors or raiders without taking another hero?

I play:
40K: Daemons, Genestealer Cults
AoS: Blades of Khorne, Disciples of Tzeentch
Warmachine: Convergence of Cyriss
Infinity: Haqqislam, Tohaa
Malifaux: Gremlins,Neverborn
Star Wars Legion: Republic & Separatists
Guild Ball: Morticians, Brewers

Allied heroes can only lead warbands of their own allied faction.

e.g. a You're playing Rivendell. You take an allied Elendil from the NĂºmenor list. Elendil can only lead NĂºmenorian Warriors in his warband, not High Elf Warriors.

Hope this helps!
