hmm.
so how about
creed, company commander(warlord, master of command, laurels of command), company commander, company commander, platoon commander, astropath, (205)
12 squads IG regular cadians with 12 grenade launcher, 12 poweraxe, and 12 missle launcher
1 lord commisar with powersword and bolt pistol
I am only sad I didn't fit the ministerium priest in, but I reckon you could make it a 12 autocannon army and save 60 points, then add the ministerium priest 35 and a single astropath.
note that this is 20 points short, as is, you could probably get away with downgrading the lord commisar to a normal commisar and pick up your minipriest that way.

I know, your army is probably far better with pask firing away, I just like the idea of the dark eldar dudes grinding their teeth as they die to lasguns.

I might not be sanquine about my chances against the mirror matchup of the tank commander based 1000 point list against the misslegrenadier one, but I didn't design it to hunt t8 tankers. The missle launchers and grenade launchers do excellent work against eldar, don't suffer much from the occasional minus to hit because of the possibility of full rerolls, and can synergize with the 2 kommisar types to keep troops from bolting.
The enemy can't "touch you and shut oyur army off" the way they could against LRTCs. Dark eldar player will likely fix it so that you never get overwatch, and his units are highly mobile. If your map is nova style "L" line of sight terrain in the center, there is a good chance you will get touched, with somehting like scourges sweeping screens away, and that 32 inch move guy zipping in and neutralizing the dakka gatling tank and maybe a second one.

I honestly dont know what you are talking about. At all.

ok. hmmm. the mask of vexilla, a relic the dark eldar can take, allows one of their very quick units to ignore overwatch.

Scourges are a heavy weapon toting infantry elite, that, like everythign else they have, can fly. A line of scourge units can more or less wipe a gaurd infantry unit in one go, and if they have the right weapons, more or less wipe a tank commander, too. Many of the dark eldar end up using things that generate mortal wounds, lots of them, on vehicles.
But ONLY on vehicles. 10 man gaurd squads may be fragile, but the dark eldar have to kill them the old fashioned way, by killing.

Most of their bikes are going to be low toughness, I believe either t5 or t6, a few things in their arsenal are t7. This means that a strength 8 rocket is as good as a lascannon at shooting them, but cheaper, a strength six grenade is as good as a lascannon at shooting the lighter ones, but FAR cheaper. The big gun on the "dakka tank" (your tallarn punisher gatling) is nice, but for it to be used, you have to move that tank forward into areas where the dark eldar can cower behind cover, and then come out to strike at the screen of infantry aroudn the tank (until that dies, and believe me, they will have that much firepower) and then they will be able to let their "no overwatch" fly capable character actually attack the tank, which will lose the ability to shoot.
It is pretty easy for them to put a pair of their transports into combat with the thing, too, after that, but on the back side fo the tank. viola, the tank can not move through its enemies, it cannot shoot (nor can they be shot) as long as the melee continues. There are many characters and units in the dark eldar that can't shoot tanks well, but some that can, and some melee characters that can simply rip one up in a few rounds.

Having 3 bullygryn to deal with such an issue migth be enough, but its easy to shoot one unit off the table for the dark eldar, even if its got 4+ invuln shields.

Of course, the bullygryn have to be in the right place, at the right time, to be used against the very highly mobile dark eldar, who can simply opt on their turn to pull back out of combat because fly, and shoot a bunch of times more.

Nova style L terrain is a common standardized terrain style on the east coast, where to large "L" shaped walls block the line of sight in the middle of the board. Even if the tallarn tanks get close to it enough to dart in and out of line of sight, its far easier for the dark eldar to hop over it with fly -- and then charge the tanks from an unexpected angle. Especially if they are close to such terrain, its very likely that any charge made against them will be from a spot they can't see, and the relic to stop overwatch will not be needed to keep the tanks from firing (and once they are stuck in combat, they can't fire in their turn either, but must of course withdraw).

So while I might approve of the 3 mortar teams, I think the tank commanders are in for a nasty series of shocks fighting the dark eldar. The three tallarn tank group is strong, but its usually strong in the context of a greater and more resilient threat that the enemy must first answer, not as the only significant threat to the enemy on the table.

That is why I didn't put tanks in the list I suggested against the dark eldar.

Dark eldar have many ways (multiple characters and some special weaponry) to lower the leadership of individual troop units as well, and then allow just 1 or 2 casualties + d6 to be compared to a leadership of like 4 or 5 instead of 7 or such. Using the aura of a komissar bolsters the morale of the unit, so that tiny casualties don't become large casualties at the end of the turn from morale rolls agianst the lower numbers.

I hope that makes my answer more intelligible.

why tool your list for one army? Great, build a God anti dark eldar list and be not only a jerk but lose tourneys. Besides this list would have no issue with dark eldar. Also the bullgryn have a 2+/3++ because of the psyker. they will hold objectives and take mid field. The tanks are not getting assaulted easy with infantry and bullgryn in front. Im assuming you dont play itc because if you do then you would see this list is well rounded and powerful.
