I've been toying around with several list ideas. I'm not sure I want to add Knights into my list, considering how quickly they die (sometimes without doing anything!)
I'm experimenting with adding both Knights and Deredeos into my Daemon list.
My core is:
Poxbringer
Bilepiper
50-60 Plaguebearers in 2 units, with Icons (and sometimes Instruments)
A unit of Brims (x10) or Nurglings (x3) depending on points.
I find that the Nurgle Locus isn't all that great without a Scrivener, so I don't mind losing it.
My rotating stuff is:
-A Khorne Patrol of Axe Prince and Letter Bomb
-Alpha Legion Brigade with Sorcerer, Apostle, 30xCultists, and 2x Deredeos
-3x Questoris Knights (Rampager, Despoiler with thermal/chain, Despoiler with thermal/reaper)
-Knights Superheavy with Rampager supported by 2x Lightning Moirax
-TSons Supreme Command
I can roughly fit two of the rotating options into my list (the notable exception being the 3x Questoris, that is expensive!)
Today I did a game with the Nurgle Core, Rampager + Moirax + Moirax, and the Alpha Legion Battalion. I played against Cadia Battalion (loads of infantry and a minimum Bullgryn unit) + Cadia Battalion (3x tank commanders, 30x infantry squads, 2x Sentinels, Valkyrie) + Tempestus Battalion (3x5 minimum units in Deep Strike).
ITC rules, I won 28-25. It was a much closer game than I'm comfortable with, and I missed out on a lot of points.
I felt like my Rampager was the biggest letdown. I cleared out the large screen on his objective (24 lightning shots, 16 butcher shots, 12 heavy bolter shots, 6d3 greater havoc shots, and a single heavy stubber). Then the Knight charged the only thing it could: two sentinels. I absolutely murdered those chicken walkers, and then the Rampager proceeded to soak up the entirety of the enemy shooting--6d6 battle cannon shots (averaging 10 shots per model because of some reroll order), 3-5 lascannons, 6 heavy bolters, and a mess of flashlights. He died, ignominiously, didn't even explode on a 4+.
I deployed first so I kinda got baited. I didn't expect him to put his Russes far far away from the objective. If they had been opposite the Rampager, I could've killed at least one (perhaps two) on T1.
Should I take Infernal instead of Iconoclast? Getting back up would be a big deal, and would've let him intervene onto a character, murder the character, and contest/hold that objective. I had the CP for it.
