Hello all I am looking to build an army of Death Krop of Krieg and looking for advice on list builds so I know what models to get. I am looking at lists of 2000pts cause that's about the average game at my local game store. I also know that these models are expensive this is why I am being more selective one which units I buy first.

Any help with how an IG army should be build will be helpful i will at least get an idea of what to look for.

Well depending on how competitive you want to make it the usual IG builds are built around lots of infantry, tank commanders and artillery.

You could have 3 batalisks, 3 wyverns, 3 hwt with mortars 60 dkk guardsmen in a brigade, and 3 tank commanders with all the guns in a supreme command.

If you want to build a DKoK list, I would strongly suggest using the standard IG codex instead of the actual DKoK rules, as the faction specific DKoK list is substantially more expensive and has fewer capabilities than the standard codex with few truly unique units or abilities to compensate.

Beyond that however, there is fluff for all sorts of DKoK lists, from Grenadier (stormtrooper/Scion equivalents) Assault Brigades to Armored Companies and human wave infantry hordes or artillery gun lines.

To start with, focus on getting the core of an army, in most cases this will be HQ and Troops units. Start with a DKoK company command squad and 3-6 infantry squads, and build out from there.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

Ok I'll start getting my infantry units and start working out form there and I will look into picking up an IG codex.
