Hey Guys,

List thoughts for an event being run at the FLGS.

Limitations:
Mono-Codex
Single Battalion Only (No Knights!!)

HQ

Company Commander, Power Sword, Grand Strategist

Company Commander, Power Fist, Dagger of Tu'Sakh

TROOPS

Infantry Squad, Power Sword

Infantry Squad, Power Sword

Infantry Squad, Power Sword & Plasma Pistol, Plasmagun

ELITES

Rein & Raus (Sniper Rifle, Demo Charge & Stub Gun)

Veteran Squad, Power Sword, 3x Flamers, Heavy Flamer

FAST ATTACK

Armoured Sentinel, Autocannon & Hunterkiller Missile

2x Armoured Sentinels, Autocannons & Hunterkiller Missiles

3x Scout Sentinels, Multi-Lasers & Hunterkiller Missiles

..........................
598pts
...............................

Strategy is a little gimmicky, but bare with:

Warlord starts on the board with the Ratling Twins, the Plasma Infantry Squad, the lone Armoured Sentinel & Squadron Pair of Armoured Sentinels.

2 (almost) Barebones Inf Squads & Scout Sentinel Squardon utilise Ambush Strategem to Arrive from reserve.

Company Commander w Fist & Dagger of Tu'Sakh uses Relic to bring himself and the Veterans onto the board from reserve within order range.

Veterans Advance and flame/las nearby target. Company Commander orders FRSRF onto the 2 Las Squads. Should they Combine for Take Aim abuse too? We'll see how it goes....
Any thoughts appreciated guys? Loving the ambush theme I've got running here. It limits first turn casualties while simultaniously increasing my board control and already decent maneuverability.
Games are likely to be Dawn of War Deployment due to lazy Event managers, and objective based. Kill points are generally not used here based on prior experience.

Given the low poingts and mono-faction battalion restrictions, I reckon I've got enough firepower to deal with most issues I'll face? 6 Hunter Killer missiles, 3 autocannons and 3 multilasers all moving and firing without penalty should deal with most stuff right?

I know some choices are suboptimal, please bare with me, they're a lovingly converted army and i'd like to run WYSIWYG where possible.

Cheers,

GamerGuy

You know, I was gonna go with advice like "grenadiers are better than flamers from ambush" and such, but its not like its in any way a bad list, looks fun, and it seems you like the models you have, so I would go with it.
