For those who want more excuses to play their favorite murder-incest simulator...

Crusader Kings 3 has been announced. There's a website up, but it has virtually no information about the game aside from the fact that it's planned for release next year.

However...

Crusader Kings 2 is now free on Steam. And you can get the Old Gods DLC (regarded as one of the best) for free by signing up on the CK3 website. Additionally, Crusader Kings 2 is now offering something called "The Monarch's Journey", that must be played while signed into your Paradox Account. You play through the scenario and attempt to achieve certain goals, which award points. Every ten or fifteen points (up to one hundred) unlocks a customization option for Crusader Kings 3. Examples of the prizes include a beard or a woman's pointy hat.

Is it a big deal?

Not really, aside from the fact that anyone still curious about CK2 can now play it for free. But I figured it's worth flagging for those who might be interested.
