This is the place to say what you'd like to see released for AI and what races you'd also like to see.

We know for definite that we have Orks and Imperial Navy so to start with them.

Imperial Navy
Thunderbolts
Marauder Bomber
Marauder Destroyer

Other possibilities would include
Lightnings
Arvus lighters
Valkyries (plus maybe the cargo version for Elysians)
Vultures
Vendettas as another variant of Valkyrie
Aquila landers

This take us to all the figures that were out previously and includes a lot of stuff which is more ground attack and transport,
Not done previously but the Avenger would also be fun.

Orks
Fightas
Fighta-bommas
With
Big Bommas and
Grot Bommas incoming

That is already what was previously available so my wish list would be
The Ork lander

Now we don't know what's coming next but some suggestions have it as Chaos, Marines and Eldar

Marines
Plastic Thunderhawk!
Thunderhawk transporter (first new scale Rhinos and Land Raiders)
That was it previously but there are lots more possibilities now
Xyklon Interceptor
Storm Eagles
Fire Raptor
Storm bird

Now that's if we just stick to Forge World, which has been the pattern so far, but this is a wishlist so
Stormhawks
Stomtalons
Corvus Blackstar

Chaos
Hell Blades
Hell Talons
Harbinger

We could add in some of the Marine kits and also
The Heldrake

Eldar
Previously we had
Nightwings
Phoenix bombers
Vampire Raiders
Vampire Hunter

Now 40k kit wise we have
Crimson Hunters
Hemlock Wraithfighter

So even if we just stick to Forge World kits there are lots of exciting options but personally I would really love to see AI versions of the newest 40k kits in addition to the Forge World stuff.

Now I was surprised that T'au were not mentioned and I think Necrons could also be really fun but I'll let others weigh in on them. Get your Wishlist on!

Everything. Release it all. Give as many races planes so we can grow the game and let everyone in. If they release a Lightning soon then people could do renegade forces with a more variety than Tbolts and bombers.

Wouldn’t a Thunderhawk be pretty huge though?

Aw man, I'd love to see rules to allow these planes to join in the fun in Adeptus Titanicus (obviously paving the way for Epic 2.0, or whatever they want to call *proper* scaled 40K!)

I'd love to see Eldar. Anything Eldar.

I play...

Sigh.

Who am I kidding? I only paint these days...

Yes, this. Really looking forward to seeing what they do with Eldar, the old planes are good but the CH is fantastic. I am holding off getting into the game until there are other races released so I hope it isn't too long a wait.

I'm down with basically everything being realized in the new scale. the more ground attack stuff they add only highlights the need for AI19 & AT18 to launch EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

AI19 kicks ass and is one of the most fun & interesting games out in a while.

honestly, ad mech.
i dont know if they have an air force or if they are strictly gound/space in terms of lore but the possibly inntresting designs ad mech could have in terms of air craft is too cool to not think about.

The Vultrax Battle Automata from 30k would look cool.

I would assume anything aircraft wise would be similar to the Ironstriders, where a "volunteer" is hardwired in as the flight controller & the pilot commands the "volunteer".
it would lead to some pretty crazy designs/implementation.

I'd be down for them, since I do have a Mechanicus Explorator force.

I'd love to see the Lightning kit sometime soon, it's already mentioned in the Rynn's World campaign book, so.. come on GW!

I mostly want to see some Tau stuff and the older Eldar stuff, not a big fan of the newer plastic Eldar flyers but the Nightwing is one of my favourite looking craft of the original AI.

When the original AI went out of production I was bummed I didn’t get into it, because I really liked it. Most of all, I wanted one design that won my heart over all others. So big, and ugly, and wonderful... a great flying warthog of a craft.

Of course, the Ork Eavy Bommer would never be back, it would be too ungainly for 40k play, and it’s not like GW was going to make a new AI game with injection molded plastic Ork Eavy Bommers, just for me...

So, I am a happy Ork flyboy next month...

Now that I’ve got the one plane I really was into, plus a bunch of lesser planes to keep it company, I guess what I would wish for next is the Eldar fighters, as they’re beautiful but I don’t play them in 40k, so I never had a reason to buy a 40k kit. But, a little squadron of Dark Eldar ships in SR-71 blackbird black would look quite right, sitting on my shelf.

You know, if only to make the Eavy Bommer look bigger...

I just want a Tau barracuda at this scale, also eldar nightwing. The barracuda is my favorite flyer though.

Tau would be absolutely amazing for this game.

On the subject of T'au. A manta would be abou a foot square in the new scale!

I would once have said there was no chance for anything this size but then you look at the huge ships that are released for X-wing!

Who knows? If this game takes off, the sky could be the limit (I'll get my coat)!

I don't think the manta would be a foot in size. It's not bigger than a Warlord titan in 40K scale and that's a VERY long way from a foot in AT which is the same scale.

As for my wish - TYRANIDS! Especially because it would make GW have to design some new air units to go with it to flesh them out. I'd love to see more of them!

x-wing, pfff, take a look at SW Armada`s super star destroyer! 24 inches long "miniature model"........

anything ispossible, the question is; is sutch a large model as the Manta usable on a 8x4 hex square based board?

By my estimation a Manta would be roughly 9" large, so on the table it'll be 3 or so hexes wide (given the wingspan is in the long direction of the hexes).

That's probably not excessive, though at 9" it'll be the size of an Imperial Knight so I'd expect pricing to be similar to that.

I realised once I settled down that I was out by a bit, so the above size is correct, still a lovely big model though!

Funnily enough when I was thinking about this I was looking at my old AI books and there is a lovely scale drawing of a Manta which has a wingspan of 7.5"

Photocopy at an enlargement of 120% and you have a counter version that you can enjoy colouring in.

On a gameplay note has anyone tried just using the old points for units that are not out yet? Looking at it I think it would be mostly ok, certainly close eonough for a friendly game.

That would be really big, not sure if anything else has such a disproportionate fuselage to wingspan as the Manta. Sokar pattern Stormbird is the biggest Marine flyer and it is more traditionally designed rather than flying wing. so is that the scale of stuff to come?

this is a wishlist, nothing else.

IF big birds are introduced to the game i doubt they would be made of plastic.
