I started playing 40k in 1991 back when you could go to the local game shop and pick up figs no one wanted for $.25 and you had to build most of what you wanted for Orks because there just wasn't that much out there,. And bits were easy to come by, even when I quit playing for a few years I still worked on my Orks they were just too much fun to create stuff for. At one point I had a 20,000 point Ork army and a 4,000 point Bug army. No really I had tons of boys, over 30 bykes, 9 kopters, 6 Stompas, a Great Gargant and a lot of other vehicles, some are posted here on Dakka Dakka with more to come. Most were lost in a house fire in 2015 but I was able to save some and I'm building again. Lost all but 2 Bugs though, and not redoing them. This Picture was, and still is my War Boss, Bull Gunta Grimm Smakk his paint got a little damaged in the fire and he's missing the skull on his shoulder and one is missing his target-er on his Ogrin Gun but They survived paint was damaged from the heat. (I have 2 just alike but with different weapons.(same heads and bodies this was about the time or a little before I figured out about magnets.))

I sort of liked the old ones (sort of) like the Ogrin Body I used for Bull Gunta Grimm Smakk and it looks like a lot of the older stuff is discontinued like the gubbins bags and some of the older GW heads I have not been able to find. Too bad too.

Its a shame that metal minis are not produced anymore. They were great and durable!
