Hi all,

Quick intro on my part, pretty familiar story here as I'm sure like many of you I'm a returning 40k player, mostly played the game between 3rd and 5th editions, little bit of 6th. Also loved WFB for a similar period of time, really enjoyed 8th edition for a spell there too. And then that ended. Enough said haha

However, I do now really like the look of the 8th edition 40k ruleset (is it something to with the number 8?) so have started an army that I have really wanted to take a run at since the old 3rd edition Chaos codex but never got around to doing so. Iron Warriors. To try keep myself in line I'll be starting up a WIP army blog over in the Dakka P&M section, so if you fancy looking at some moderately painted, still very bitter, trench digging enthusiasts check it out

Cheers everyone,

“Victory is not an abstract concept, it is the equation that sits at the heart of strategy. Victory is the will to expend lives and munitions in attack, overmatching the defenders' reserves of manpower and ordnance. As long as my Iron Warriors are willing to pay any price in pursuit of victory, we shall never be defeated.”

Perturabo.

Hello, and welcome to Dakka Dakka!

3rd edition 40k wasn’t fir me, so I sat out the time between 2nd and 4th.

Sadly, haven’t gotten a game of 8th in yet, but it sure does seem to require a lot of dice to be rolled in one go a lot of times!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

I don't know, when I see awesome rules, I'm like " Baby, your rules looking so fine. Maybe I gotta add you to my first strike battalion eh ? "
