Hiya folks I'm a newbie painter and have started transfering my paints into dropper bottles.

to save time on thinning them later I thinned as I using Tamiya acrylic paine x-20a thinner, using 1 pippette (About 10ml) per pot of citadel paint.

my questions are .... Have I thinned to much? and do i need to replace the paints I have thinned with this?

Citadel paints are water based while Tamiya paints and Tamiya thinner are alcohol based. I've always used water to thin my Citadel paints and haven't tried using Tamiya thinner with them, but since Tamiya thinner is mostly isopropyl (rubbing alcohol), it can dissolve acrylic paint, and only a tiny bit is needed to thin Tamiya acrylics. You might have used too much to thin your Citadel paints. I'd recommend using Lahmian medium or water to thin your paints when transferring to a dropper bottle.

Yeah, I wouldn't use that. Acrylic flow improver is what I've seen recommended for decanting paint and that's AFTER you've poured it out. You're not going to get every last drop of paint out of your GW pots, don't try to because the water and flow improver will break down the body of the paint and help ruin the whole pot if you use too much.

I've only transferred my mediums and contrast paints to droppers because it was so easy those are useful to count drops when mixing. When I tried transferring my base paints I found it honestly more time consuming and messy than it's worth.

DON'T USE THAT WITH GW PAINTS!
it turns them into a solid lump!!
i know from experience sadly :(

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!
