I mainly play ork hordes so I was looking for a change. I also wanted to paint up some of these big baddies and was wondering if it would be viable. Recently I ran a 1500 point version similar to this without the Spearhead against a Space Marine army and it was a massacre (in my favor). Share your thoughts!

The spearhead and MVB moves together destroying everything in its way. Same with Magnus, supported by a nearby daemon prince with Temporal Manipulation and Gaze of Fate. The three other daemon princes have their tzaangor bodyguards and move where they're required, using smite spams and buff spells to wreak havoc.

Damn!
I was just about to write this new list you have but was too slow. Read this post earlier today but had no time to write.
I love this list! Everything you got needs to die as soon as possible! But what do you kill first? I think most (me including) would target Magnus first but then you still have 2/3 and a bit more of your list coming.
Not very sure what Enlightened will do but I have no experience with them so. They can keep your DPs from been the closest targets when not in close combat.
I built my own list from yours but using daemons and not so much Tsons.
Csm spearhead
Lord D
2 maulerfiends
Venomcrawler
Supreme command Tsons
Magnus
2 DPs
Exalted sorcerer on disk
CD battalion
DP khorne with axe relic
Bloodmaster
25 letters icon instrument
2x 10 brimstone horrors.
Venomcrawler as I don’t have 3 maulerfiends.

You should replace the exhalted sorcerer with Ahriman on disc he's too good to miss out on for 25 extra points.
You could swap one unit of enlightened for a spawn if you need the points.

The Enlightened are there as Daemon Prince screens, that's all, and if I drop them to spears instead of bows I'm actually only 10 points away from Ahriman. I just don't know where I would get those points (except replacing a squad with a spawn).
Although, it's quite easy to bring Ahriman in the 2500 list where all you do is tack on a Knight with twin gatling cannons...

So i had the most exciting game ever with a similar list than the one I posted above.
2 Lord D
2 DP
3x 10 cultists
2x 25 letters
Magnus
Contorted Epitome
Min bike unit
Sadly I forgot one box with the maulerfiends and venomcrawlers but oh well.
Was against Necrons.
2 overlords
Cryptec spider thingy
2x 15 warriors
Scarabs 5-7
Immortals 2x 10
10man lynchguards
2 doom schyth
Might forgot something. He won seize and got first but failed to kill anything but putting some wounds on Magnus. I deployed Magnus a bit in the back so he could not shoot with all his stuff. My khorne DP played baseball with one of his doomschythe and my Slaanesh DP warlord only made a small scratch on the other one. Lord Ds moving up with epitome, warptime Magnus and buff him up to 3++ and heal him but sadly failed a 7” charge with command reroll.
T2. Necrons shoot away Magnus from the table tying up some cultists on a objective but fails to kill any!! One Lord D got badly hurt.
I move up both DPs, Lord Ds and epitome makes all charges and keeping epitome behind to keep safe but lock stuff up. Khorne DP again plays baseball with the other doomschyth and warlord DP and Lord Ds fails to kill one unit of warriors and/ or immortals. One unit of Letters have dropped in and deleted a unit of warriors and the cryptec.
T3. Locked in combat with 2 lord discordant and warlord DP he moves the rest of army so he could kill my khorne DP and a unit of cultists but still don’t manage to kill the cultists with scarabs. Letters dies as well. Dropping in a FW senterpide model to smash the mirror and dangerous close to warlord that he wanted to kill but didn’t reach.
I had not good place to drop in second unit of letters I felt sad but still think was the best spot, losing 8 letters in DS but still kills a unit warriors. Lord Ds manages to kill of a lot warriors and immortals but not wipe them and Warlord DP kills his senterpide FW model.
T4. He surrounds both lord Ds and got so many back thanks to reanimate. Lynchguards standing next in line to lord Ds. He kills my letters and finally managed to kill the cultists with scarabs but fails to do anything serious to lord Ds but loosing a lot himself.
I jump in with Warlord and both lord Ds to kill of warriors, immortals and charge lynchguards but did not make a scratch on them and lord Ds both got serious hurt.
T5. He kills a lord D and my warlord making us tie in VP. Have been 1 point different whole game so now he got the lead.
I was standing still with lord D in combat with lynchguards as they only would have catch up next turn. My last cultists got hold objective for 2 points so I got the lead with 1 point now!
T6. The game continue sadly for me!
So he kills of my last Lord Discordant and luckily draw hold the line and scoring 2 VP and won the game thanks to that as I only got some cultists left in hiding. Did draw my cards but not for my objective as it would ended in a draw then!!
This is how a game should be! Fun, even and damn exciting!
For my list I feel that Magnus was a draw back but everything thing else had so good synergy together but be cautious for move blocking your own units! Lord Discordant and maulerfiends have big bases. I think I will try whiteout Magnus and add 2 Keepers of secrets or a Knight as he feels like a let down.

That sounds fun!
I wasn't thinking of adding any infantry, other than the sorcerer now, but there is a possibility...
What if I were to replace the Tzaangor Enlightened with three units of Cultists? I could have a battalion for appropriately 9 total command points, but I would have to give up my DP screen.
Any thoughts?

I think it would be good. Then you have a backfield screen for denying DS and holding backfield objectives. Obviously more CP is good as well for Daemonforge and rerolls.
But I think your math is wrong. Battalion 5cp spearhead 1cp supreme 1cp and 3cp for battle forge. 10cp total.
When you deploy Magnus, do so so he can’t be shoot at with the whole enemy army as he can move 32” with warptime and then charge. I think that’s why my Magnus survived until turn 2 as Most Necrons can only shoot 24”.

If I did a battalion then I wouldn't have enough HQs for both the spearhead and the vanguard, so it would drop to 9.
