It seems nicer to have the image linked in the text box instead of via the forum’s attachments, as the resolution is as it should be without needing to click on the image and load it separately. I’ve seen the way to do it explained in other threads but I’m not particularly good with my thinky parts and still don’t quite understand how it works. Could someone explain it to a simpleton such as myself?

Thanks

Yeah it's just a matter of surrounding the 'img' hypertexts with 'spoiler' hypertexts. So in the full window it will read *spoiler**img*IMAGE LINK HERE*/img**/spoiler*, only with square brackets instead of asterisks.

Your easiest option is to upload the image to the Dakka Gallery. From there, if you go to the image page in the Gallery, there are a bunch of code boxes down the bottom right of the page that you can copy and paste to the relevant places... Select the size you want the image from the drop down, and then copy the 'Forum' option code and paste it into your new post.

If you're uploading the images elsewhere on the web, then you grab the image's URL and put it between image tags like this:

Hope that helps!

I beleive as well you can use img tags with the dakka gallery using the direct link information on the picture, it just won't link to allow voting.

Ah cheers everyone, I’ll have to have a go with it tomorrow on my comp. One of the issues is I typically use my iPad/iPhone to upload pics, but with this in mind I’ll try chucking them over to the PC tomorrow and giving it a wiz.
