So am a Black Legion player do I need the Vigilus Ablaze book or is it not wroth it?

it's better than any PA so far, the book is great for Black Legion Rules and Renegades. It has the strongest chaos builds that don't just go and take a 70-80% daemons army crutch.

If you play Black Legion, yeah you need that book. It's essentially a codex supplement for BL.

you don't NEED it, you can functionally play with just the Codex, but you get a LOT out of it so you proably WANT it.

Black Legion would WORK without it, but Vigilus ablaze really super charges it.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

I think PA2 has stronger builds than what Vigilus had for BL, but the formations can't be ignored, so, it's a wash, I guess?

the PA2 stuff also doesn't work with Abaddon. which is a potential factor. I mean that models gorgous.

Yes, I consider it the Abaddon tax. The full hit rerolls aren't terrible.
