This has been a passion Project that I have worked on periodically for the past 3 years. It's relatively finished though I may add some details.
Anyway looks good undercoated.

For me the key design element about the tantalus is the twin hull, catamaran style. The Wave Serpent prongs do not really give off that impression. Starting out from two plastic kits, I'd have gone with two dark eldar boats side by side and fused them in the rear.
It looks like you executed your design as you intended - yay!
Unfortunately to me it looks more like an orc looted wagon than a sleek pointy-eared killers ride. Maybe the project started with a spare wave serpent, but ultimately, the time you put into the model far outweighs the cost of a kit.

I like it. It's got the right basic shape and size, and has enough of the catamaran look and feel for me.
If I was going to be fussy, the bits that maybe look a little wrong are:
1 - the joint between the wave serpent hull and the chopped up raider. It's an obvious joint between two things and looks like a bit of a cut and shut job. Not sure how you'd get round that without a lot of scratch-building with plasticard to smooth over the join.
and 2 - the fins sticking out from the wave serpent hull make it look more regular eldar and less dark eldar to me. I'd say either take them off or sharpen them into blades...
Overall though, great job and a lot better than I would have managed.

Gotta agree with this. It simply looks like a cut and shut of a WS and Raider, which is essentially what it is. The parts don't gel- DE and CWE are literally opposite in design- note how CWE tend to have convex curves that add to their sleek look whilst DE have the opposite with concave ones which point outwards, making them look spiky.

Cheers for the feedback, may actually try to sharpen the vanes on the hull.

I theorised building one once. I was thinking two dark eldar boats connected. But as I started doing schetches I did not like it. Your design is a very good solution!
