Hello everybody!

Probably a lot of people wont see this, but hopefully a few will click.

I am a very new wargamer, started about 7 months at the time of writing this. I am massively into 40k, but the pestilens have gotten me into Age of Sigmar.

I am not very good at painting, especially seeing all of these amazing artists on this site, but if people want to see my minis I would be happy to show them.

I play Ultramarines, a little bit of Orks and Thousand Sons.

Thanks for having a look at my post. My question for you is: what army do you play and how many points do you have in it?

"That's what you don't understand about me, Vaanes. I don't care. I do what I want because it is who I am. Anything else is a lie and if there is one thing I can say of myself, it is that I will never compromise who I am. Not for the powers of the warp, not for M'kar and certainly not for you. When death is a heartbeat away, I am truly alive. That's the only way I know how to live. What else is there?" - Honsou

Hey, welcome to Dakka! Share whatever you like and don't feel you have to meet expectations. I'm no great shakes with a brush, but my gallery is chock full of anything I felt like getting up here.
I am one of those "Many" armies people (common on Dakka).
I absolutely recommend a look through the painting and modeling section and the tutorials. Some really good people have shared a lot of knowledge here, and often broken it down to laymen levels.

Keeping the hobby side alive!

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.

Welcome- glad to have you! In regards to the painting, everybody has to start somewhere! Definitely post pictures of your models and ask for advice. Even just general links to techniques: watering down paints, highlighting, drybrushing, blending, shading, etc.

I have 2k points of Chaos SM. I played Orks back in 4th and 5th and their kitbashing and conversion nature drew me to the Heretical side when I jumped back in during 8th edition.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...

Welcome! I started about the same time as you too and I play chaos. Got about 2300 points worth but it seems to be going down below 2000 after chapter approve hits

Welcome to the hobby. Remember: you're here forever.

I've had many armies. Currently the only big army I have is Flesh-Eater Courts. I need a start collecting box to make my 2000 point list. A lot on the painting table right now though. Specifically Necromunda and Aeronautica that I'm just getting into after many years of wanting in on those games!

Thanks for all the kinds words!

I do thin my paints, but I do need some drybrushing tutorials. Ill probably post some pictures when I get the chance.

Also I see a lot of chaos players. I would love a chaos army, just not enough money to give to GW yet sadly
