Subject: Long time 40k player, brief AoS player - Slaanesh mortal army?

Potent Possessed Daemonvessel
Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

So I've been playing 40k for over 10 years now, I've played all forms of chaos, Orks, Imperial Guard, Custodes, Harlequins and Knights. But I'm feeling a little burned out of 40k at the moment: when I saw the new points balance would let me take another unit of troupes in a transport for my Harlequins, I couldn't produce any enthusiasm.
Now a few members of my local group play AoS is well as 40k and are trying to get us more interested in AoS, so I'm contemplating the idea of fully throwing myself into AoS. I've played before using my Khorne daemons from 40k but I didn't get too into it.
Now I'm looking for something fresh though and I like the idea of a magic orientated Chaos army with a lot of knights (love the models), maybe even with Archeron (again amazing model), but I'd like to go for a Slaaneshi paint scheme: painting my one off Slaanesh lords and Daemon Princes for 40k was a lot of fun. However, browsing through forums, it's become clear that Slaanesh have been purged from the mortal armies of chaos.
But have they been purged completely?
Is there anyway to run Slaanesh mortals in AoS or is there a good stand in for Slaanesh?
What would you suggest for a magic orientated chaos knight army?
Do you have any suggestions/advice going into the current AoS meta?
Cheers.

From a fluff standpoint they haven't been purged at all. Slaanesh is in a food coma currently and also been locked up and filleted like a fish. The mortals and most of the daemons are still mucking about, though none of them know where Slaanesh went, just that they aren't answering the phone right now.
The mortal tribes are as strong as ever but split into three camps, led by daemon heralds, greater daemons, and daemon princes.
The three camps are: Pretenders that seek to usurp the throne of Slaanesh, Godseekers that expend every resource in the search for Slaanesh, and the other ones. Ravagers I think? That are more Slaanesh in ideology. Just trying to have a good time in the mortal realms.
It's also been hinted at that Slaanesh might break free soon.
Real world wise: Slaves to Darkness is getting a revamp. StD is your source for Mortal-y chaos worshippers in the mortal realms. If army philosophy continues you can put whatever mark on whatever unit or hero, you can even mix and match gods if you so choose. For specific mortal-Slaanesh units, the only ones I can think of are Hellstriders which are just mounted Marauders on Steeds of Slaanesh instead of horses. The models are kinda neat. But for the bulk of the list, you'll be using regular StD models, but can be taken in either a StD army or in a Hedonites army as long as they have the Mark of Slaanesh (it grants them the Slaanesh keyword)

The slaanesh book is mostly all demons with the exception of a horsemen unit.
Slaves to Darkness is getting a new book in a couple weeks which will be mortals.
You're looking for that item.
Since you are using the word meta I'm assuming you want to be competitive, and until the book drops no one can answer that question for you siince no one knows what all the power combos are or if they even exist.
It will depend largely on which of their two writing teams is doing the book. If its the team that ddid the mawtribes and the khorne and goblin books, these guys will be a for fun army that struggles against power builds.
If the team that wrote the book is the same team that did slaanesh demons, masters of the universe undead, skaven, flesh eater courts, then you'll have some power combos you will be able to use to be competitive at the top levels.
But... we have to wait and see.
