Considered taking Alaitoc for the extra defense and because the Prisms will be using Linked Fire. However, I like keeping it coherent and the extra offense.
How would you use the Cloudstrike Stratagem? Keep the Fire Prisms safe for a turn?
Thanks in advance

I am a big fan of mechanized lists and the points reduction is quite revealing for Falcons.
I am currently playing a mechanized list and I've found CTM are exceptionally important. Currently, your list is fairly tight on points, but there is the possibility to having the characters become foot versions. I've also discovered the Wave Serpents can be quite useful by launching assaults into the strong shooting units. This is matchup dependent, but they are quite survivable and weather overwatch well. One of the ideal examples is a large block of Admech robots.
If you run the list, it would be interesting to read about your findings.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby. |

Check your point totals on the falcons and the fire prisms. I'm looking at battlescribe and base its 122 and 157 respectively.

Looks like this is using new point values from CA2019. Battlescribe does not have that at this time.

Nice take. I was thinking something similiar but with bonesingers, EMLs and more serpents instead of spinners falcons. Yeah the CA 19 book is out like today so Im sure once evryone has copies BS will be updated accordingly lest mistakes are made based of blurry snapshots lol.

Originally, I started with 3 Warlocks with enough points for CTMs and possibly Spirit Stones. Took your suggestion on CTMs for the Falcons after the full CA points release. I like having the mobile threat element of the Falcons in addition to the Wave Serpents. Mathematically, it may be worth it to drop a Night Spinner and add Spirit Stones to the remaining 11 Grav tanks.

Realized that a remarkably easy change can be made to switch the tanks around. 3 Falcons and 3 Fire Prisms come to 786 points. 5 Wave Serpents with Twin Missile Launchers comes to 785 with the new Chapter Approved discount. To compound the defense of the Wave Serpents, I'd also take the Craftworld trait 'Students of Vaul' for the vehicles to regain a lost wound each turn. The list would look something like this:
Custom Craftworld: Expert Crafters / Students of Vaul : Battalion and Spearhead
Farseer Skyrunner
2 x Warlock Skyrunners
3 x Ranger squads
5 x Wave Serpents w/ twin Missile Launchers
3 x Wave Serpents w/ 3 Shuriken Cannons
3 x Night Spinners
total: 1,998 points

I think the cover save from concealment will be a bigger pay off in terms of survivability. 2+ serpent are no joke. Compound that with spirit stone/fortune and you can get some nice results.
Of course hard counter by ignore cover army but that's but against everyone else its strong.

The CA2019 actually helped this style of army. I run a lot of vehicles as well, but with fliers and have had a lot of success against a variety of Marines (minus Iron Hands).
The use of Starcannons have been important. Whether from Wave Serpents or CHE, combined with Expert Crafters, it is an ideal set up. It has been fairly easy to remain around the 36" threat range until it is necessary to be closer. But, I do acknowledge that I am personally playing against a lot of Marine variants.
Students of Vaul looks very promising on paper. Have you used the list to see how it fares?
If memory serves, you could use foot versions of the characters. For the Battalion, have the Farseer and now a 2 strong Warlock Conclave (hide out of LOS and stratagem for 36" range psychic powers) and add one more Warlock for your Spearhead HQ choice. Be weary of Thunderfire Cannons against the Conclave, but it is also less shots against a tank.
