Subject: [750] - Necron - Need help building for a friend
If you dont get first turn, use 1CP to put the destroyers on the tomb world and deepstrike them on T2. Hide cryptek and immortals, so they cant be shot. Tomb blades are -1 to hit. If you get first turn use the veil of darkness to jump somewhere on the battlefield with the destroyers. Use the rest of the CP for methodical destruction. Cryptek gives +1 to reanimate, which is huge for destroyers and tomb blades when a 30 or 50 pts. model comes back with full wounds.
Those lists don't look hugely casual to me. Necrons are actually disgustingly good at low points games, there's no need to min-max at that level or you'll just be roflstomping everyone.
My usual 800 pt list is Overlord, Lord, 2 x 5 Immortals, 1 x 10 Immortals, 3 x Destroyers, 1 x DDA. This list has never lost a match and I'd consider it too strong.
So I'd suggest
My usual 800 pt list is Overlord, Lord, 2 x 5 Immortals, 12 warriors, 3 x Scararbs, 3 x Destroyers, 3 Wraiths.
Should be around 750 pts (drop warrior if required to squeeze under, I don't have pts values to hand). That way you've got a good variety of units to build/paint and you've got a decent, balanced but strong 750 pt list.
