Hi all.
Recently decided to pick up a new project and the idea of a Sartosa themed army allowed for plenty of fun with conversions.
The issue though is that the old “go to” was the empire militia set mixed with the zombies box.
Now the militia set is gone, so is the host of pirate like parts.

I’ve scoured eBay/Pinterest/google/reddit etc for the last week or so now, but I can’t find any pirate like heads anywhere.
Ideally I’d like to find zombie pirate style heads (with the hats and bandannas) but I’d settle for just the hats.
That way I can just cut them off and fit on zombies myself.

Has anyone seen anything like this please?
I’d also happily take any ideas that people have for the army.

You can get catachan heads, split the top banana and attach to the zombies; the hard part is the weaponry with the empire kit gone, you’re best off looking at 3rd party for bits.

I’d completely overlooked the catachan line for those!
Just need to find a few hats now to mix into them.

The weapons were ironically the easy part.
Pistols I can grab for £3 for 12.
Cutlasses are around the same price.
There’s surprisingly a ton of different ones about luckily.

You could try mixing the Frostgrave Ghost Archipelago Crewmen with some Zombie bits.
They don't have the in your face pirate look you may want though.

Those guys are all 32mm and I couldn’t remember where I’d seen them!
Had planned on using them for characters as they were a fraction bigger.

Not too keep on the ones in the pic there but the ones coming soon look amazing and perfect for what I need!

May also have a tinker with the sculpting too.
I’m fine with fur, cloaks and coats, chains and pipes etc, but never tried a hat lol.



As a side note, I’m also looking at the dark elf corsairs too.
Got some potential there.
