I've always loved the Crusader units of the Adeptus Ministorum--what would be a fun list to include them in? I'm looking to start playing some small games with friends, and wanted to know what forces I could include them in and still get full benefit. I really like Tempestus Scions and Imperial Fists--can they fit into one of these forces?

I'm pretty sure the guard codex has them in it? So you could take them in MT?

Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

I think they’re Elites and lack the Regiment Keyword, so ideally in the “Elites plus HQ” detachment to avoid losing regiment bonuses.

They're auxillery unit though, so they don't take away regiment bonuses.

I had some success using them with an astropath to stop quick moving assault units.

Having that 2++ lets them hold for a while.

another option is to run them in a SoB army

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

They're much better in IG because they have the old double action version of acts of faith and a psychic power that gives them a 2++ save.

Somewhere in Canada

You can probably get away with using the old AoF against someone who's blind sided, but in the beta dex, there was a line about them switching to the new AoF; I imagine we'll see something official on it before too long.

If someone lets you get away with it, whatever, but it's definitely against the spirit of the game and not what the designers had in mind.

I don't have the dex to hand, but I think the new crusaders don't have AoF at all.
