So after Blood of Baal and CA 2019 which is a better unit? If you could only take one would it be death company or sanguinary guard?

Agreed. My experience with DC is that they're still too fragile for their cost and while they destroy GEQ with ease the rest of the army is pretty good at that too. SG give you reliable damage against characters, vehicles and heavy infantry and are very resilient with their 2+ save and usually a 5+ FNP from the banner. I'd love DC to be good but I've just not managed to get them to work well yet.
