So I want to start a new army and im having trouble deciding. I currently run Blood angels and Tyranids. Due to the amount of players in.my area a few other armies are out of the question because other already run them these armies are. Tau, knights, deathguard, sisters, orruks and chaos. I'm looking for a shooty army with neat abilities. I don't care if its necessarily good i just want it to be fun to play. Any suggestions?

Admech

Very shooty in a Cawl castle, and now with the transports + priests they can be very punchy if you like too.
they also have a flyer on the way aswell.

they also have deep strike abilities (through strats and relics), and a couple of different competitive builds.

Ok, first of all just because someone else in your area plays something doesn't mean you should automaticly dismiss it, some armies offer some wide varity for how a list will play, as well as having a fair bit of list depth to them, (just for example a white scars bike list will play very differantly from an ultramarines gunline)

that aside I'll give some advise based on your priorities but also note a few armies that you've discounted as "being worth a second look"

as has already been mentioned Admech are a good choice, a strong shooting army with a lot of neatquirks and tricks. they might fit the bill.
Then there is Imperial Guard, tons of shooting, fairly focused on tricks etc (guard orders are part of your infantries bread and butter)

If you just want a differant PLAY STYLE you could try one of the various "vanilla" space marine chapters. Ultramarines or Imperial fists, just for example would be distinct from your blood angels eneugh to let you experiance things differantly while also allowing you to just buy the codex, and hop into the game with much of your current blood angels army (so long as your local play base isn't obsessive about paint schemes)

Necrons also might be potentially intreasting to give a try to if you want a xenos army.

Lastly if guard has some appeal to you, but you prefer xenos, maybe consider Genestealer cults? I belive they CAN be somewhat shooty

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

I love my skitarii & knights Ajust need to get some transports and tanks.

you DO NOT NEED CAWL!

canticles are fun and beneficial.

you can sit back and shoot, but vanguard can radsoak an area. with the current transport options dunerider/termite its fun but the flying contraption coming should improve this.

If you wanted to branch away from Imperium, Craftworlds Aeldari can have some very shooty lists with some shady tricks via stratagems.

"Courage and Honour. I hear you murmur these words in the mist, in their wake I hear your hearts beat harder with false conviction seeking to convince yourselves that a brave death has meaning.
There is no courage to be found here my nephews, no honour to be had. Your souls will join the trillion others in the mist shrieking uselessly to eternity, weeping for the empire you could not save.

To the unfaithful, I bring holy plagues ripe with enlightenment. To the devout, I bring the blessing of immortality through the kiss of sacred rot.
And to you, new-born sons of Gulliman, to you flesh crafted puppets of a failing Imperium I bring the holiest gift of all.... Silence."

Thanks for all the advice. After looking at models I think im going to go with Craftworlds. I've heard the Jinx and doom combo can be pretty nasty. I also like the look of the wraithknight. Even though it isnt the greatest unit I think it is one of the coolest looking models along with the wraithguard and would be fun to paint. One question I have is what the difference is between a farseer and and spiritseer. As far as I can tell one is double thr points and doesn't do a whole lot extra.

I will probably pick up UM data cards and run my BA as UM as well since that's a pretty cheap option and the people i play with locally could care less about paint scheme.
