Hi guys,
A long time ago, on the internet, I came across a wonderfully painted cartoony Ork army. Unfortunately I don't remember the guy. Today I tried to paint using his style, and this is the results:
Spoiler:

I'm super happy with it ! What do you think about it ?
Took me a bit more than 3h though
I like the style and may paint the full gang like this.

Nice! The shoulder pad reminded me of some angry marines I saw a while ago, they weren't cartoony at all, but those really stark highlights / shadows on the yellow cloth really work imho!

Thank you !
At first I went for a Joker like look and ended up with a Borderland look haha
I *tried* NMM and even if it failed the blade still looks good I think.
It's definitely one of my most eye catching mini, with a strong contrast between the over pronounced highlights and the black... lining ? How would you say that ?
I will definitely paint the whole gang like this. I love how small bands of necromunda allow me to try different things

Very nicely done, that looks great for the table - is certainly better than some things I've seen (and myself placed) on a table - and on its own!

I understand what was attempted on the blade, it does look good.

you might want to try using a thin-nibbed permanent pen for the black lines - that way the lines will be, more or less, the same thickness / more consistent & tidier. it will probably be quicker as well. if you go down this route, you'll be better off not gluing them to their bases until the lining is done.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Very nice, the yellow cloth on her waist looks especially good.

I don't know the Ork army you're talking about, but Epic Duck Studios on Youtube has a lot of painting tutorials in this comic book style, might be able to find some inspiration there.
