Subject: [2000] - Militarum Tempestus - What would you add with the point drops?
with refinement and the point drops, my list comes out to 1830 points. What units would you add to this army? Another Valkyrie, or a Taurox Prime to gunboat? Basic no-kit objective grabbing Scions? Lord Commissar stays, though, and no ugly Auxillia.
Tempestor Prime: Chainsword, Master of Command, Tempestus Command Rod, Tempestus Drop Force, Warlord
Tempestor Prime: Chainsword, Relic: The Laurels of Command, Tempestus Command Rod, Tempestus Drop Force, WT (Tempestus Drop Force): Grave-Chute Commando

I run a scion heavy drop list that however brings a bunch of elysians as back up battalion. Over time I have focused the scions down into a drop detachment battalion with 3 plasma command squads, 3 primes, 3 support five man / dual hsvg and just a pair of valkyries. There are some elements that start on the board but I cram everything I can into deepstrike. I like the 4 man plasmas cause they load better into dual valkyries, with your heavier squads the 3 valkryies work better. But its an option, too.
You might consider an offensive astropath for another 15, with malstrom for a few mortal wounds against a priority target.
Also a proper psyker primaris gives you a real smite and a few spell options in addition to the astros, you suddenly have 4 denial rolls, which is enough to save a lot of trouble. Also each astropath can designate one "no cover" target .. which matters with things like centurions and similar heavy armor units (and even knights, using those stratagems provided by the admech.) I am a fan of bringing a couple of 15 point commisars as rear objective holders that can benefit from character cover -- and aren't needed anywhere for anything else. Your list has more than 60 bodies in it, which is huge for scions, but you can almost sqeeze them ALL in metal boxes if you picked up just one more little taurox prime -- and we both know you have like 10 such kits lying around just like I do.
n.b.
It is my understanding that only ONE detachment can be a vigilis drop force and gain the bonuses thereof.

Could have sworn I could have multiple specialist detachments of the same kind, so long as I’m not trying to take two of the specialist warlord traits.
If the truth can destroy it, then it deserves to be destroyed.
