Hey guys,

I am picking up the starter set next month to split with a friend and I am going Northern Alliance. I have looked on Mantics webstore and can't see any sets for Half Elves or ice Naiads outside of the big army box set. Any ideas where I could get them from?

If I am not mistaken, they are currently not available on their own but will be released at some point like many of the updated units in box sets or Vanguard.

Thanks chap, that is what I was thinking too.

Mantic just announced that they're finally splitting out the Nightstalker units from the mega / army boxes, so one assumes they'll be doing the same with the NA stuff in the near future, as they released alongside each other more or less. Frankly I think it's a misstep not to have already put out these units, but Mantic makes weird business decisions.

My buddy, who's new to KOW and thundering through an NA army, was able to get more copies of the mega / army box units through eBay I think, for a pretty decent price.

Thanks, I am going for a Skyrim/Viking look with the infantry so may end up kitbashing some fantasy and historic stuff together for count as units

Also, working on a NA army and am considering these 3rd party manufacturers. Would anyone know how they fit with Mantic minis?

Shieldmaiden Infantry/Rangers dual kit These would be Pack Hunters although Pack Hunters have bows, not crossbows. The Mantic Pack Hunters only come with spear/javelins even though they do have a bow option.

Free Folk Trappers are another possibility for bow-armed Pack Hunters.

Free Folk Spearwives to add some variety to the Human clan units, although the Mantic kit has a fair amount of heads and weapons.

As for the Ice Naiads, like the OP, I'm waiting for Mantic to release them separately.

@Ancestral Hamster, I haven't seen the models, but I understood the A Song of Fire and Ice models to be big, large for 32mm. You might want to dig out a proper scale comparison

Okay, thanks. Hoping they will work since I do like the look of them.

Edit 1: Having googled some comparisons, the ASOIAF minis do seem large. Ordered a box of (discounted) Free Folk Trappers anyway as the new NA Clansmen are largish compared to older Mantic figures. (My friend and I are ordering the New Uncharted Empires book, so I threw the Trappers in as well.)

Seeing how the NA humans are almost as strong as Orcs, having them using slightly larger models would seems like a good idea in fact.
