This is a well established 'Net list. At least 2 guys were playing it at the local FGS and its elements having being showing up since.

Play it.

BTW, this is cheese. There is no cheese in 40k.

Edit:
Hey, "Who Moved My Cheese?"

There was a picture of cheese there, but apparently MODs removed it, which, okay. The joke is a corporate work-motivating-stupid-book that made the rounds for staffs & companies around 2001 or 2002.

Thoughts on swapping the Storm talons for storm hawks? The amount of flyers makes them quite good but will obviously struggle against non flyer armies

I’m sure there’s space cows somewhere.

You’re asking us a question about your meta we would struggle to answer
Against normal flyers you still hit on 4’s re rolling ones. you don’t really care unless it’s alaitoc flyer spam where the hawks would do better hitting them, but as eldar flyers are made of paper anyway and would still die to mass talons.

Against all comers, the talons win usually because hitting ground troops on 2’s re-rolling ones, with extra AP is obscene and why it’s a nightmare to play against.

Actually I did some math once I came out that the hawk (pvp) outpreforms against chaff (T3, 5+ saves). It has less BS but 3 extra shots to compensate. Not sure against anti armor with missile loadout but with HBs and Twin AC the hawk is beter (and tougher). Also, most army's have unit with the fly keyword (tau skimmer, jump packs, landspeeders, the list is long) so ussualy it's benefits are not wasted.

What are your thoughts re sky hammer missiles over the heavy bolters. It’s 6 s7 shots with +1 to hit fliers and 12 assault cannon shots for for chaff so it can deal with both.

I was initially wanting the Storm talons to get behind cover to take out chaff but the storm talon can do it as well as take in flyers. I also have thunder fire cannons for the jobs as well.

Actually, it's one skyhammer vs 2 heavy bolters. So 3 S7 vs 6 S5. It's strangly a very good build. With straving run you hit on 3's vs ground targets and 2's VS fly units. (Back to 3's vs flyers) it makes it very Jack of all trades. You can experiment with Them, after a while you Will find out what works for you.

It's a good list. After getting my head stoved in with my Imperial Fists pre-new codex I've been enjoying the cheese myself.

I'd say overall this would be a scary list I'd give you 50/50 based on who went first. Which if I'm being honest besides a few odd anti-meta meta lists is pretty much the world of 40K today.

Thanks for the advice. I’ve decided to go with storm hawks for the anti fly as I play a lot of Tau elder de and there’s a lot of people jumping on the ba bandwagon.

I am still undecided whether running sky hammer missiles or heavy bolters is a better option. The missiles are higher strength and damage but the bolters have more shots. I think I have sufficient anti horde so the shm seems better against the flying targets id send them at but you can never have to much anti horde.

Revised list below. I could swap out a intercessor squad and the optional weapons on the rep ex’s for a infiltrator squad which could help screen against shenanigans like gsc which there are a couple floating around.

The list is intended for ITC.

Yes, the second repulsor is really nice, but its a weak spot in your matrix of cheesed resilience.

I would encourage replacing it with a mix of dreadnaughts.
A redempter dreadnaught with a lot of dakka is an option (167 ish points, and can half incoming damage)
A mortis dread with quad lascannon and bs3+ is an option (converted to a character) 140 points
A chaplain dread with 2lascannon and a dccw is an option
A perfectly normal venerable dread with 2 lascannon, a dccw, and a missle launcher is an otpion for about 160 as well. (and can be converted to a character, if you didn't take the mortis)

Pick any 2 of these (but only 1 that is converted to a character) and your "bubble" of heavy shooting becomes maddeningly hard to kill. Someone is left choosing the iron stone protected remaining tank, OR the 1/2 damage taking dreadnaught that could (in theory) use the iron stone after the tank dies, OR, they have to get up real close against the chaplian dreadnaught and his buddy the venerable dreadnaught character.

(I don't know if this is thought to be superior to the ironhands netlisting with 2 repulsor, but it seems to spread the buffs out better).

You could trade 1 each of the Executioner, eliminators and thunderfire cannon to get

2 predators w/all las cannons +

1 ven dread w/las cannons or predator with twin lascannon and heavy bolters.

I just dont think you have enough screening to protect your army.

I'd even suggest trying out a Phobos LT. So you can have that 12 bubble of deep strike denial.

When I play my chaos knights/red corsairs against lists like this I'm happy. You got a huge portion of points in a couple models.

I could easily trash your flyers or one of the executioners first round and still most likely get into HTH.

An opponent with redeploy stratagems could easily get out of LOS maybe forcing you to move and not get the double tap.

Note that a phobos LT doesn't do the bubble last I checked, the captain phobos does, a unit singularly unusefull for ironhands firing heavy weapons.

That is true (re lieutenant) just checked. Is it better to drop the captain and take a librarian? It would free up two cp and give me a +1 hit spell and a +1 armour for the non iron stone rep ex but I would loose the reroll the hit roll.

I could drop a rep ex for a leviathan dread and would have points spare to take a infiltrator squad instead of a intercessor squad.
