Greetings all, thought I'd share some minis - Clone Troopers! I always loved the concept of the Clone Troopers, from the awesome Greek-esque Phase I armour, to their generic 'good-guy Stormtrooper' vibe (At least, you know, before the whole 'Order 66' thing...). Anyway, they were perfect to try out airbrushing, being as I've just got into it, and to expand my skills zenithal painting white (Which hasn't come out as pronounced in the photo unfortunately).

I always like to give a little background, so these guys are the first of the '633rd Assault Battalion', specialising in vanguard actions and close-quarters battles. I had originally envisaged them as one of the few Clone units that didn't execute Order 66, instead defecting and resurfacing as a nascent rebel cell. However, Disney's retcon, I've recently found out, pretty much kibosh-ed that with the whole inhibitor chip situation. Sooooo, regular Clones then, I guess.

Anyway, hopefully you'll enjoy these, and any C&C would be most welcome (Especially regarding the issue of whether to weather them, excusing the pun...)

Very nice and very crisp, thanks for sharing! Really like the individual touches of personality that the different red accents give. I am not sure whether weathering would be effective but maybe a light dusting of the bases' colour on the lower legs?

Those are some really cool Clones. Love the way you did the white and red.

Nehekhara lives! Sort of!

Thanks all - they were very fun to paint and I can't wait for FFG's expanded Clone Wars range. I feel some ARC troopers and a 1/48 LAAT coming on... (If I can find a 1/48 LAAT that is )

@ingtaer - I'm inclined to agree. I think I'll tackle these with some pigments and light abrasion when I get my next squad
