Hello,

Today I had seen sharp drop in prices in some of FG miniatures and bundles. I had seen opposite thing in GW store where they have lower prices and they jump out of nowhere to higher share. While it is obvious that their store is not the way where people are supposed to buy their miniatures from, I'm still wondering why they do such things. Certainly, they can just make private deals with their stories and they should not need to lower and then raise their store prices for giggles.

Death Guard = 728 (PL 41) and Space Marines = 831 (PL 50)
Slaanesh demons = 460
Khorne demons = 420
Nighthaunts = 840 points Stormcast Eternals = 880 points.

Did you have the correct region set on the website? We used to regularly have people accusing GW of raising prices when in actuality they were looking at the Australian prices.

Yup, it seems right. Their titan collection just went down from 5,5k euros to 4k euros. Manta also came down by 500 euros. Their entire Titan line went down in price. In fact, most things in Lord of War section got sizeable discount.

I have it set to ship to rest of EU now. This is how I usually inspect store as it is my regional pricing.

Perhaps they've changed their exchange rate for some overseas territories?

That said warlords and the Manta are way way way out at the top end of the scale for prices so chances are there might be more wriggle room there.

Then agian FW has also been dropping AoS models like crazy recently so changes are afoot but who knows what's going on - since GW doesn't often tell us these things in advance.

Yes, I can't say that prices changed for models with more sane prices. Yet, Wraithseer is now 54 euros while it was around 66 euros while last time I was checking him out. Entire Eldar line seems to me that it got a discount. Cheaper models got smaller discount while those fighters I believe costed up to 20 euros more.

A good rule of thumb is that a good costs 50% less to manufacture than its retail price and seller can lower price by 30% and still get profit from it. Of course these are just vague general guidelines. Yet, with forgeworld, I do imagine that they have to have huge profit margins per model due to how expensive hence unpopular they are with a wider market. Fewer people have to compensate them for their expenses and make them profit, this is why they have to have higher prices. Usual marketing strategy is to lower those prices that in the long run they would sell more for less and thus would gain same or more profit.

I’m assuming it’s exchange rate.
UK prices seem the same as they have been.

It is probably regional pricing. For me, Forgeworld definitely had decreased price by 10-30% on a lot of their models.

Is it time for the boot?

Spoiler:

In all seriousness, find yourself a US service member and make a new friend. Duty free shipping is a hell of a thing.
Also there is a strong Warhammer community in the military, they shouldn't be hard to find.
