Hey, I have my first tournament coming up in two weeks and it’s a small 1000 point tourney. I don’t know the local meta and I don’t know exactly what we are playing (most likely Maelstrom Missions).
First and foremost I wanna have fun and since I started collecting my Chrome Boys, I wanted to play a silver tide like troop-heavy list.

This is what I came up with so far:

I think the tactics are mostly obvious; swarm them with troops, maybe hide a few to hopefully be able to reanimate every turn, use the Arms for fire support, as charge-blockers and to boost Reanimation even further and basically blast everything to bits.


Any thoughts, improvements, tactics I haven’t thought of?

Well, I guess you'll have a difficult time with this list.
I'd add three Doomscythes and fill the rest as a battalion.
In a lumbering list, I'd take a fast HQ such as an Overlord in CCB.
However, ''pfreak'' will argue that Doomsday Arks are better - but I can't stand them.

You need some anti armor, like destroyers, heavy destroyers, DDA.

What about switching one Ghostark for 3 Heavy Destoyers? I so like the idea of this list in general, that I really want to make it work somehow. Doesn’t have to be super competitive, else I would have taken a completely different path.

3 destroyers won’t do a thing. You won’t kill a thing with this list... it’s not even about competitive it’s just lacking all over.

Dont underestimate 40 warriors with multiple RP rolls. Necrons RP is significantly better at low point games, because the opponent doesnt have a lot of firepower to wipe out an entire unit. But i agree, 3 heavy destroyers isnt enough anti armor, but its better than nothing.

Eh that change would not be minor tweak. Almost half the points to 3 flyers would turn list idea completely upside down. And into quite a gimmick as doom scythes are...well rather gimmick unit combo at this point value. Enemy army will also be smallish so often can spread sufficiently that the stratagem won't be doing much. And with only 550 pts of foot troops you will get tabled out fast.
