So what does everyone think is the tesserack vault better then having a ctan and tesserack ark? I’m buying one for sure but I need to figure out what people think is the better option. Vault seems like it’s super high on points.

Regular CTan get the benefit of hiding as Characters. Vaults are easy to blow up or knock down some chart pegs.

Tvault is insanely overpriced, you can get 3 transcendent ctans for less, and they are protected by the character rule, because they have less than 10 wounds.

Jep ctans much better, 3 for 540 points and you can cast 6 powers, you can hide them because of character rule and they are strong meele units vs elite and enemy Charakters

Obelisks are one of the worst units in the game IMO, so I can only ever proxy when I want to field more than a single Transcendent C'tan. Vault isn't aggressively terrible, it's just not great, I don't think T C'tan are great either, even if they might be more pts-effective. I'd urge you to build your Vault kits into Vaults and pray for a pts reduction come next PA. If you can find some cheap T C'tan proxies your opponents will agree to play against then I think that's a fine choice, but buying a Vault kit to build an Obelisk and a T C'tan has been a waste of my money, your mileage may vary.

I think the optimal choice is a Deceiver and/or Nightbringer + Doomsday Ark/Tesseract Ark.

It really depends on your play style. A single vault of nilitak (sp?) On an objective has a 3++ save for 2cp i think, making it a pretty sturdy unit able to put out wounds and becomes a huge fire magnet. I prefer to run 1 of them, 3 doomsday arks, and 2 ctans in my force, the rest is wraiths / warriors / immortals / scarab for board control and fire support . Works well enough, especially if you use the deceiver.
