Hi guys!
I just started a T'au army. I got a "start collecting!" box and a box of pathfinders. The plan is to build and paint a kill team, and then move on to a 40k army.

I read somewhere that pathfinders with rail rifles are good in KT, so i built three of those, and that's how far I`ve come so far. Really have no clue what I'm doing.

I`m looking for pointers and tips on how to paint my T`au army to get it up to a reasonably competitive standard, but I definitively have the most focus on modelling, sculpting, kit bashing and painting, since thats what i use 95% of the time on.

I've been trying to come up with a cool idea for a paint scheme. I saw a black and orange scheme (pic below), really loved it. Only think i might change is getting some blues in to contrast, as lenses and/or energy from the weapons and jet packs.

Also, saw the junker t'au from reddit (pic below), super cool, really love the cloaks. So I thought I might combine the two in some way. Definitively getting some cloaks. Probably less cluttered than the junker tau, seems to me tau in general are pretty neat and tidy. probably going to get some weathering and battle damage though.

What do you guys think about this idea? Any other ideas you have that can inspire me?

Thank you for reading

That's is a sweet picture. Really like the scheme. right up my alley.
High contrast Yellow/orange and black is kinda hard to pull off so be prepared! . Maybe worth not priming black to start with like I did lol.

Good luck to you man I like this ambitious idea.
