In the grand scheme of things, this is more of a slight preference and way down the list of potential priorities but I figured I'd ask. Is there a reason why subscribing to a thread via the link at the bottom of the page (as opposed to posting in that thread) opens up a secondary popup window that then requires a confirmation button press? I can't speak for anyone else but I use the function regularly and would prefer if just clicking the link simply subscribed you to the thread and (if it has to load something due to clicking the link) reloaded the same page with or without notification of the new sub somewhere there. I haven't programmed anything since the early/mid 90's (and even then it was simple pre-frames webpages and tiny games!) so I don't know if there is a technical or legal reason for this.
