Hello, i'll be attending at tournament next month, and i've recently tuned my list with knights, any constructive critique are welcome.
Imperial Knights Taranis Super heavies (+3cp)
-low- Knight castellan (volcanolance, plasma decimator, 2x twin-melta, 4x shield breaker missile, twin-siegebreaker) 693 {warlord: Ion bulwark, relic: cawl's wrath}
-low- Knight helverin (2x armiger autocannon, stubber) 157

Adeptus Mechanicus Mars Vanguard (+1cp)

-elite- servitors (4) 20
-elite- infiltrators (5, flechette blaster, taser goad) 75

Adeptus Mechanicus Mars Battalion (+5cp, specialist detachment: servitor maniple)

So, what do you guys think? I'm thinking that melee and hordes might be a problem, i'll be giving Kataphron unit +1 inv save for one command point, and saving 3cp for resurrect the castellan.

Consider also giving your main knight a 2+ base armor save and the OPTION to rotate shields. Against some armies, that 2+ (became a 1+ in cover) does you better at mass numbers of saves, and you keep a cp or three in reserve for a rainy day.
And you will have this knight in cover at least the first 2 out of 3 turns.
Helverin .. meh ... shooting at heavy marine infantry in the current meta takes a lot more than ap-1.

Hey, thanks for reply, that 2+ armour save is actually good idea. There's two reasons for helverin Knights, firstly they fill up the super heavies detachment, and secondly their firepower (able to counter msu marines and vehicles). My original list was pure admech, but my Kataphron breachers were under performing during test games. Maybe I could swap helverin Knights to warglaives? I have not yet bought them, and they could counter for melee..

I don't remember if you can magnetize them but its the same kit.

I am a keen fan of warglaives since they can shoot and then tie something up in melee.
Also, if Cawl is not buffing a lot of units I'd swap him for 2x cheaper HQs and some troops to make up a second battalion. Admech needs all the cp it can get
