I recently purchased a bottle of angron red to use with my saim han. I would however like to know that should I varnish the models after painting, ie. do the clear paints flake off? I would also like to know how saturated paints of this type are usually.
I painted something with the clear paints a few months ago, and didn't varnish it. All the paint is still stuck to the model. I don't use that model for gaming though.

They’re very thin paints on the raised parts, so if you’re planning to handle them a lot they may rub off. If that’s the case I’d varnish them. Otherwise I wouldn’t bother. The paint won’t flake off, or come off any other way other than from being handled.
It's less a problem of the contrast paints than the contrast primers, which are so smooth that paints rub off easily. I'd recommend varnishing miniatures you're going to handle regardless.
