Ive just started a tau army with a start collecting box and a pathfinder box. How should I kit out the drones?

In the Painting and Modelling forum the advice should be, "Whatever looks coolest to you".

If you're after tactics, battlefield effectiveness or a fluff reason then try some of the other 40K sub forums, maybe asking a mod to move this thread appropriately would be a good idea...?

Be sure to include the rest of your list, preferred playstyle or cool fluff bits in the initial post to give potential responders something more to go on.

Based on what I've seen from the Tau meta lately, if you don't have enough shield drones to fill up a garbage bag, then you need more shield drones
